Rezul News/10600604
CCIA announces the winner of the Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge
CALGARY, Alberta - Rezul -- Colorado Cleantech Industries Association (CCIA) awarded Canadian company Blue Spark Energy first place at the ninth annual Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge on September 29, 2022. Second place went to Transitional Energy and third place went to IX Power Clean Water, Inc. The program connects clean energy and technology businesses to the oil and natural gas industry.
The winning innovation from Blue Spark Energy uses hydraulic pulsing to increase well production. Their technology releases a brief discharge of concentrated electrical energy to create a huge burst of power, which is repeated hundreds of thousands of times in a safe environment, using minimal equipment, manpower and energy. For more information on Blue Spark Energy's product and company you can visit https://bluesparkenergy.com/bluespark.
Chris Graham, vice president of sales and marketing at Blue Spark Energy said, "The Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge was a fantastic opportunity to present BLUESPARK® technology in a forum where the winning solution is chosen by industry decision-makers. BLUESPARK® offers a technology that provides a solution in the spirit of the adoption of change, the change away from legacy processes. BLUESPARK® technology is a near-wellbore solution and a production stimulation technology that uses existing wellbore fluids with incredible results, low carbon footprint, no chemical additives, and no toxins. BLUESPARK® is excited to be the chosen technology for the 2022 Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge."

"Our industry sponsors were extremely impressed with the caliber of the presentations and how well the teams addressed the challenges posed," said Mary Austin, CCIA's executive director. "Each year the technologies are further along in development and deployment and it becomes more difficult to select a winner. We appreciate the partnerships that make this program possible and we look forward to planning a robust 2023 Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge."
Companies chosen to present their innovative technology or solution were:
The 2022 Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge was produced in partnership with an internationally recognized team of industry leaders including bpx energy, Ovintiv, ConocoPhillips, Civitas, Altira, the Canadian Consulate General of Denver, Holzer Patel Drennan, Colorado School of Mines, the Colorado Energy Office, Holland & Hart and the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade.
CCIA developed the successful Cleantech Challenge model, firstly for the Oil & Gas industry, now in its ninth year. As a result, CCIA has expanded into other industries including commercial vehicles and mining, and plans to produce an Aviation Cleantech Challenge in 2023.
