Bloomington: Connect with City Leaders at District 4 Traveling Town Hall, Aug. 4

Rezul News/10706955
~ Bloomington Mayor Kerry Thomson is inviting residents to attend the upcoming Traveling Town Hall on Monday, August 4, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Morgenstern Books & Café. The event will also be attended by City of Bloomington Utilities Director Katherine Zaiger and Corporation Counsel Margie Rice.

The purpose of the Town Hall is to provide an opportunity for residents to connect directly with local leaders, ask questions, and learn more about city initiatives. Mayor Thomson will begin the event with a brief update on current and upcoming projects. Following the update, attendees will have the chance to submit questions on index cards distributed at the door. These questions will then be addressed by Mayor Thomson, along with Kupersmith and Councilmember Stosberg.

If time permits, there will also be a live Q&A session for additional questions. The Traveling Town Halls are part of the City's ongoing efforts to ensure accessible government and promote open communication between residents and officials. These events are held in a different district every other month, providing community members with the opportunity to learn about city services, ask questions, and share feedback on topics that matter to them.

Residents of District 3 and any community members with feedback, questions, or interest in how city services are delivered are encouraged to attend this event. It offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with City leadership and gain insight into ongoing initiatives and operations.

For those unable to attend in person, the meeting will be broadcast live on Community Access Television Services (CATS) and available for on-demand viewing at catstv.net. This ensures that all residents have access to important information and can stay informed about their local government.

Mayor Thomson hopes that this Traveling Town Hall will foster open communication between residents and officials while promoting transparency in government operations. She looks forward to seeing many community members at Morgenstern Books & Café on Monday evening for what promises to be an informative and engaging event.
