Author Steve Ulrich Releases Perception: Seeing Beyond What First Appears

MOORPARK, Calif. - Rezul -- Two people can leave the same conversation certain they saw different things. In Perception: Seeing Beyond What First Appears, author Steve Ulrich asks readers to consider what each person brought to that moment before deciding what it meant.

Published September 15, 2026, Perception is the second book in Ulrich's Synergence trilogy. Through concise chapters, it explores how experience, expectation, memory, and bias influence what people notice and how they interpret it. The book invites readers to pause before treating their first impression as the whole story.

That question can surface anywhere: in a disagreement, a remembered conversation, or a moment when someone else's account sounds nothing like our own. Ulrich asks readers to look at the lens through which they saw the moment, then consider what might change if they looked again.

Perception follows The Long View, the first book in the trilogy, which examines trust, listening, curiosity, and the conversations that shape relationships. Together, the books explore how people can better understand one another without requiring agreement.
