Artportunity Knocks signed on to become the 1st Kids Zone sponsor for the Atlanta Public School Bash
Rezul News/10423988
ATLANTA - Rezul -- Artportunity Knocks has recently been signed on to become the 1st Kids Zone sponsor for the Atlanta Public School Back-to-School Bash on August 10, 2019. The event will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center, Hall C, located at 285 Andrew Young International Blvd, NW, Atlanta, GA 30313. You do not want to miss this!
Artportunity Knocks was started in a small two-bedroom apartment with two students from the neighborhood who had an interest in keeping the arts positive. The founders hosted bible studies and then music and art sessions, using their own resources, time, money, food and energy.
Six short months later, after trying to fit almost 40 kids in their small apartment, they realized that what they had was fulfilling a need in the community and in 2007, Artportunity Knocks was born.
This is what we're all about!
Positive Arts - We believe that music and arts should be kept "clean" and positive by omitting lyrics that uses profane words, violence, drug/sex promotion, and degradation to women. We believe the arts should be inspiring, uplifting, and used to provoke positive behaviors.

Education - We believe that educators should include the arts in their Core Subjects through a model called Arts Integration. We also believe that innovative learning is the key to graduating high school on time. This will ensure that students with varying learning styles will have the opportunity to experience the arts in college.
Community Service - We believe that positive arts should be used in the community to spark hope and positive change. We also believe in serving our military troops through morale building arts experiences (which is also an opportunity for our students to display their gifts live in front of an audience).
Bridging Cultures through the Vehicle of the Arts
Artportunity Knocks strongly believes that positivity and unity between cultures can be bridged through the vehicles of Music and the Arts. Therefore, Artportunity Knocks classes, programs, and events are designed to include diverse genres, cultural arts, education and awareness of the cultures represented in the community they serve. Together, we can bridge cultures and bring POSITIVITY and UNITY through the vehicle of the Arts!
