Arizona Technology Council Elects Benchmark, Arevon and SRP Executives to its Board of Directors

New Board Members Enhance Council's Expertise and Knowledge in Advanced Manufacturing and Energy
PHOENIX - Rezul -- The Arizona Technology Council today announced it has appointed Bipin Jayaraj, chief digital and information officer, Benchmark; Bob Krakauer, chief financial officer, Arevon; and David Felix, senior manager of Regulatory Affairs, SRP, to its board of directors. Jayaraj, Krakauer and Felix were elected unanimously to serve three-year terms at the Council's quarterly board meeting held on Jan. 29.
In addition, Jan Janick was reelected to the Council board as vice-chair following his starting the company Concept2Scale, where he serves as the founder. Anne Dougherty also was reelected to the board and executive committee after starting The Ele Group, where she serves as principal.
"Bipin, Bob and David bring deep, complementary expertise that will be invaluable to advancing Arizona's technology and innovation ecosystem," said Steven G. Zylstra, president and CEO of the Council and SciTech Institute. "Bipin's leadership in digital transformation, data analytics and cybersecurity combined with Bob's extensive experience in financial strategy, capital formation, the utility-scale renewables sector and scaling high-growth organizations reflect the caliber of leadership we seek on our board. We are honored to welcome them and look forward to their insights as we continue to drive growth, competitiveness and innovation across the state."
The board of directors serves an advisory and fiduciary role by representing the interests of the state's technology industries in the Council's strategic planning and ongoing operations. The current board includes 34 members representing a diverse set of organizations.
Bipin Jayaraj, chief digital and information officer, Benchmark
Jayaraj leads Benchmark's digital transformation as the chief digital and information officer, focusing on leveraging data analytics, deploying innovative technology platforms and applications, and enhancing information security. With more than 28 years of information technology leadership experience, Jayaraj plays a critical role in driving operational efficiencies, improving sustainability and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Jayaraj joined Benchmark from Rogers Corporation, where he served as vice president and global chief information officer, as well as led multiple technology initiatives that enabled global, cross-functional teams to collaborate securely on world-class technology platforms. His efforts in modernizing operations, advancing infrastructure cloud journeys and enhancing data platforms significantly elevated Rogers' information security program and business transformation activities. Prior to Rogers, Jayaraj served as the chief digital and information technology officer for Make-A-Wish and spent 14 years at NTT Data, working closely with Honeywell. Throughout his career, he has focused on digital technologies, application modernization, infrastructure and cybersecurity, consistently delivering strategic and operational leadership in executive roles at global organizations.
Jayaraj holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India; an executive MBA from Arizona State University; and a certificate in executive development from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Bob Krakauer, chief financial officer, Arevon
Krakauer has served as the chief financial officer (CFO) at Arevon since 2023. He has over 30 years of experience in building high-performing teams, optimizing financial operations, raising capital and improving business performance.
Krakauer leverages his extensive financial background as a senior executive to oversee Arevon's strategic financial planning, tax, treasury and operational finance. Under his leadership, Arevon has been a preferred partner to tax equity and lending partners, raising more than $4 billion in capital to help make the company a leader in the utility-scale renewables sector.
Before assuming his position at Arevon, Krakauer led multiple leveraged buyouts and successfully raised capital in public and private equity, debt and credit markets. He previously served as CFO at LifeLock, Magnachip Semiconductor, ChipPAC and AlliedSignal Electronic Materials.
Krakauer earned an MBA in Operations and Decision Science and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Santa Clara University.

David Felix, senior manager of Regulatory Affairs, SRP
Felix is a utility professional with more than 20 years of experience spanning regulatory strategy, energy markets and technology-enabled innovation within Salt River Project, one of the nation's largest public power utilities. He currently leads enterprise-level policy strategy before state and federal regulators, advises executive leadership on emerging regulatory and technology trends, and represents the organization in high-stakes public and stakeholder forums. Throughout his career, Felix has built and led multidisciplinary teams across fuel supply management, customer program innovation, solar initiatives and sustainability, guiding complex initiatives at the intersection of technology, infrastructure and public policy. His experience includes oversight of commodity markets, grid-edge technology pilots, distributed energy integration, and large-scale transition initiatives tied to generation and fuel transformation.
Felix brings strong governance and boardroom perspective through active board service with the SciTech Institute, where he currently serves as vice-chair, and long-standing involvement with leadership and advisory boards focused on community impact, STEM education and Latino engagement. He holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, combining technical rigor with strategic and financial acumen. Recognized for his collaborative leadership style and ability to translate complex technical and regulatory issues into clear strategic guidance, Felix offers the Arizona Technology Council a thoughtful, future-focused perspective grounded in operational reality, innovation leadership and public-interest governance.
