America's 250th Anniversary Tall Ships Parade on a NYC Private Sailboat
Rezul News/10736137
Go Sailing NYC opens private sailboat charters for Sail4th 250, July 3–8, 2026 — 6 days of on-water viewing of more than 40 historic tall ships sailing New York Harbor, Hudson River, and East River for America's semiquicentennial.
NEW YORK - Rezul -- More than 30 historic and traditional sailing vessels from 20 nations will fill New York Harbor, the Hudson River, and the East River from July 3 through 8, 2026, for Sail4th 250 — the official tall ships festival marking America's 250th anniversary of independence. Go Sailing NYC, a private sailboat charter company operating from Pier 59 at Chelsea Piers since 2018, has opened a dedicated six-day charter schedule offering private groups of up to six guests on-water viewing of the largest convergence of tall ships in the United States since 1976.
The Event
Sail4th 250 is organized as the maritime centerpiece of America's semiquicentennial. The festival spans six days and includes two official tall ships parades along with four additional festival days during which the international fleet remains anchored in the harbor.

Private sailboat charters offer a fundamentally different experience: the vessel moves with the fleet, the USCG-licensed captain repositions throughout the charter for optimal viewing, and guests are at water level alongside the tall ships rather than observing from a fixed point on land.
Charter Schedule
— July 3 · 11:30 AM Class B Tall Ships Parade
— July 3 · 4:00 PM Official Tall Ships Preview Sail
— July 3 · 7:30 PM Sunset Cruise with the Tall Ships
— July 4 · 10:00 AM Official Parade of Sail
— July 4 · 2:30 PM Afternoon with the Tall Ships on the Hudson River
— July 5–8 · Multiple Daily Departures · Tall Ships Sightseeing
Onboard Experience
All Sail4th 250 charters sail aboard Go Sailing NYC's 40-foot Beneteau sailboat, USCG-licensed for up to six passengers. The vessel features a shaded outdoor deck, sun pad, wood-paneled indoor cabin with table seating and private bathroom, kitchenette, Bluetooth sound system. Champagne packages and full catering menus are available.
