38 States Complete. 12 States Remain. California Man enters North Carolina on Historic Quest to Cross All 50 States on Foot
Rezul News/10720922
Noah Coughlan attempts to become only the THIRD person to ever cross all 50 States on foot solo on his "2026 Run For America :A Tribute to the American People".
WILMINGTON, N.C. - Rezul -- Noah Coughlan has entered North Carolina after completing Kansas and South Carolina in 33 days across 743 miles solo on foot. His route will take him through Wilmington, Jacksonville, New Bern, Washington, and Williamston enroute to the Virginia state line.
Coughlan has previously completed 4 transcontinental Ocean to Ocean runs across America in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2023. He never crossed Kansas and the Carolinas until now. Kansas marked the 37th State completed, South Carolina the 38th, and North Carolina will be the 39th. Independent runs across the 3 States to count up to the 50th.
Once complete, Coughlan will start his 5th and final Run across America from Maine to Oregon, the Atlantic to the Pacific where he will complete all lower continental 48 States.

The Run will continue across 900 miles of Alaska, and culminate on Independence Day July 4th, 2026 after crossing Hawaii, his 50th State.
The ultimate cause for his final historic quest? To celebrate our Country and Her People.
Coughlan runs solo with a large American Flag attached to a jogging stroller. To highlight America's 250th Birthday, Noah is running 5,500 miles over 260 days and 20 States, and interviewing the American People and Veterans with an urgency on meeting the remaining World War II Veterans. "What does America mean to you?" "What does the American Flag mean to you?"
"Every crease in this Flag tells a story that each of us recognize, even if we haven't met," said Noah Coughlan. "America is a shared experience. We all bring something to our experience, and every time you see the Flag going by, we all stand a little bit taller."

Just 33 days in, Coughlan has made a tremendous imprint in the communities of the small towns and big cities he left behind, speaking at high schools to the youth, meeting with military veterans and active duty, news reporters, Mayors, state and local police and Sheriffs, and above all, the everyday Americans.
Noah interviews the American People daily while running 25-30 miles, and documents the Americans' response to the American Flag in polished video tributes on social media. He is gaining quite the following as his efforts are sincere and heartfelt, encouraging unity while highlighting the enduring spirit of our Nation for a renewed appreciation for America's shared history.
