$10K Bounty, Shootings; AG Bondi Now Must Indict ICEBlock Operator
Rezul News/10716867
Federal Criminal Law is Clear, and There's No First Amendment Protection
WASHINGTON - Rezul -- DHS Secretary Kristi Noem has just announced (https://www.newsmax.com/politics/dhs-secretary-...) that there are now bounties on the heads of ICE officers, Border Patrol agents were just forced to shoot an armed protestor in Chicago, and violent attacks on immigration enforcement officers are continuing to escalate.
So now Attorney General Pam Bondi can no longer hesitate in seeking a federal criminal indictment against the operator of the app she admits is both encouraging and facilitating this deadly and continuing crisis situation, says a well known public interest law professor.
Now - especially after an earlier shooting at an ICE facility in Dallas, a "coordinated attack" targeting ICE near Fort Worth, a gunman opened fire on a Border Patrol facility in McAllen,
etc.
AG Bondi should finally, in a long overdue action, seek a federal criminal indictment of Joshua Aaron, who continues to operate the ICE-tracing app ICEBlock.
So far, the developer isn't at all deterred from continuing to facilitate violent assaults by the administration's so-far toothless threats, boasting (https://www.tbsnews.net/worldbiz/usa/us-citizens-are-tracking-ice-real-time-warn-migrants-legal-1227981) "This administration tends to blow a bunch of hot air in front of the cameras, but then they don't follow up and do anything because they know they don't have a legal leg to stand on."

But they do have a very strong legal leg to stand on, says Banzhaf, whose legal actions played a role in obtaining Nixon special prosecutors, his complaint triggered the criminal indictment of Donald Trump in Georgia, and his novel lawsuit forced former VP Spiro Agnew to return (with interest) the money he pocketed as bribes.
18 U.S. Code § 111 (https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/111) provides that any person who "impedes, intimidates, or interferes" with any federal official "while engaged in or on account of the performance of official duties" is guilty of a federal felony, and that clearly includes those who attempt to storm ICE facilities, block or throw stones at ICE vehicles, and assault or shoot at ICE officials. Moreover, any person who did anything to encourage, aid, or assist in any material manner in the commission of a crime is equally guilty as an accessory before-the-fact, explains Banzhaf. . .
For a more detailed legal analysis of how and why the current administration can and should bring a criminal prosecution against those who produce and maliciously continue to operate ICEBlock (https://www.iceblock.app/), and refuting arguments based upon the First Amendment, see:
