Science fiction takes an historical turn with new short film script

PENSACOLA, Fla. - Rezul -- "A loving grandmother, a priceless coin, and a glimpse into the past." That is the short description of a new film under development by writer and producer Phil Baker. The film explores what happens when the wife of a US Mint executive visits a relative far into the future with a gift that will change his family's lives forever. Other local producers have expressed an interest in participating in the production of this film. Preproduction and photography planned for 2027, with release planned for 2028.

Phil Baker is an actor, producer, and director with over 40 credits in film and television, and hundreds of credits in commercials and voiceover. He is currently appearing in national commercials for America's Best Eyewear, John Deere MLB Promotion and coming soon to a Jardiance commercial. Past national commercials include Camping World and Pure Leaf tea. Phil also appeared in "Between Worlds" alongside Nicholas Cage, he plays "Leny" in the upcoming film by Michael Day called "How Hard Can It Be," "Stump" in the short film "Company Man," and "Donald" in "There Was Time."
