Old Vines Naples at Mercato concocts pink cocktail to support breast cancer awareness
Rezul News/10717552
NAPLES, Fla. - Rezul -- Old Vines Naples at Mercato is raising a glass to mark the 40-year anniversary of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October with the debut of a specialty pink cocktail and a pledge to give back to the community.
The restaurant will feature "The Warrior" — a vibrant cocktail crafted with pisco, fassionola, heavy cream, lemon, Campari and hazelnut.
"Like the patients that bravely fight this disease, we wanted this specialty drink to represent that same bold spirit," said Zach Bingham, Old Vines Naples wine director.
The restaurant will donate $1 from every specialty cocktail sold to Partners for Breast Cancer Care, a Southwest Florida-based nonprofit that funds breast screening, diagnostic testing and treatment for uninsured and low-income women and men in Collier County, as well as the surrounding Lee, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties. Partners for Breast Cancer Care strives to rule out or diagnose breast cancer as early as possible and provides its clients with support and resources from diagnosis to remission.
In addition to the pink cocktail, Old Vines will donate $1 from any glass of rosé sold throughout October, including both sparkling and still varieties. The promotion applies to rosé sold by the glass only, not by the bottle.

"We're honored to play a part in supporting Partners for Breast Cancer Care and the important work they do," said Chef Brooke Kravetz, Old Vines Naples owner and managing partner. "By creating 'The Warrior' and inviting our guests to enjoy a glass of rosé, we hope to raise awareness and provide meaningful contributions to a cause that touches so many lives."
Old Vines Naples particularly wanted to do something special for Breast Cancer Awareness Month as this year marks the 40th anniversary since the campaign was first launched by the American Cancer Society as a way to promote mammography and early detection of a disease that has impacted millions. Since 1985, the month has expanded to also recognize research for a cure, patient support and increased awareness of breast cancer in all people, including men.
Additionally, guests can pair their pink drinks with a three-course prix fixe dinner menu for $49 per person, available throughout October from 4 to 10 p.m. daily.
