'A Hot Set's' 4th Annual AHS Awards To Expand Soap And Telenovela Categories

SAN FRANCISCO - Rezul -- .A Hot Set announces new category additions "Best TV Series Actor - Soap/Telenovela" and "Best TV Series Actress - Soap/Telenovela" for the 4th annual AHS Awards, set for 2026. Building on the growing influence and diversity within the soap opera genre worldwide, the awards will now include expanded recognition for scripted TV series, specifically soap operas and telenovelas.

Fueled in part by the debut of Beyond the Gates—the first daytime soap opera created and executive produced by African Americans—and the increasing representation of people of color in soap operas in Western nations such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.
