GNB appoints ex. CEO of ESPN Stu Evey to its Strategic Advisory Board
Rezul News/10308601
DENVER - Aug. 2, 2016 - Rezul -- GNB appoints Stu Evey, first CEO of ESPN, to its Strategic Advisory Board. Mr. Evey will help grow GNB's footprint in audience engagement and monetization for sports, broadcasting, media and entertainment.
Stu Evey spent a 26-year career with Getty Oil, holding various management positions. He served as VP of worldwide non-oil activities of Getty since 1972. This included companies in five continents, commercial real estate holdings, lumber and plywood mills in Africa and the U.S., wine and agribusiness developments in California, and the management of resort properties in Acapulco, Mexico, and New York City, along with real estate holdings in England. In 1979, Mr. Evey founded and directed the development and launch by Getty of the first U.S. 24-hour sports cable television network, ESPN. He served as CEO and then also as Chairman of the Board until 1985 and the acquisition of ESPN by the ABC Network. Mr. Evey serves or has served on the Boards of a number of public and private companies and organizations, including Home Savings of America, Mitsubishi Oil Company of Japan, and Cyan, Inc.

Said Rhonda Persidis, Co-Founder and President of GNB: "We are delighted to have Stu join our Strategic Advisory Board. Stu brings an unparalleled wealth of expertise, insights and innovation. He is recognized as a true pioneer in the space. We look forward to working with Stu as we re-invent how audiences engage with live events and how broadcasters, media and brands offer next generation engagement. This will complement our GNB licensing work, handled exclusively through Alan Morell, Creative Management Partners."
Said Stu Evey: "When I was introduced to the GNB breakthrough audience engagement technology, I immediately recognized the competitive advantage of offering this to broadcast networks and corporate sponsors. With venues also having in-stadium applications of this breakthrough engagement technology, it will garner global media attention for the GNB platform technology. This GNB technology, and its contribution to the broadcast industry, is not unlike the engagement breakthroughs that delivery of satellite broadcasts in the 1990s had, including ESPN."
