The founders' journey started far from Romania. After leaving Iasi for Huntington Beach, California (near Los Angeles), they spent close to a decade working in the catering industry, learning what it takes to deliver quality at speed—day after day, for demanding crowds. When they returned to Romania, they didn't just come back with memories; they came back with a plan: build a diner that feels authentic, welcoming, and seriously tasty.

Big5 opened in Iasi in 2020 with a clear mission: "Savor the American Dream"—not as a slogan, but as a daily promise. The menu is built around diner favorites like burgers, buffalo wings (served with blue cheese), and thick milkshakes, alongside Tex-Mex staples such as burritos and quesadillas. Signature picks include the Big 5 Burger, the Double Double, and the Texican Burger—bold flavors, classic comfort, and a bite that keeps people coming back.
