Faith, Family, Farm: Why I believe Zach Lahn Is the Right Leader for Iowa

DES MOINES, Iowa - Rezul -- Zach Lahn is a farmer, a family man, and an education reformer, and he is the Republican nominee for Governor of Iowa this November 3rd. As National Secretary and Florida Chair of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly (RNHAFlorida.org), I'm proud to endorse Zach Lahn because I know he will keep Iowa a state of strong values for future generations.

Zach has fresh ideas for Iowa's students. He doesn't think the answer is spending more money. He wants to put proven best practices into classrooms and give families more choice. He plans to make 80 percent of school meals grown in state. That's good for kids, farmers, and local communities.

He is also willing to confront Iowa's cancer crisis. Zach wants cleaner water, and he wants to make sure unsafe pesticides are not allowed to poison the people who live there. Some people want voters to forget where candidates stand on today's controversial issues. Zach doesn't hide from them. Iowa needs a leader grounded in the values that have shaped Iowa:

• Faith
• Family
• Hard work
• Strong communities
• Local ownership
• Personal responsibility • Leaving something better for the next generation.

Iowa didn't become Iowa by accident. Earlier generations built a culture around Midwest values and passed it down. Zach believes Iowans have a duty to defend what they've inherited and hand it to the next generation stronger than they found it. As a leader in the Hispanic community, I know these values well because many of us were raised with them. Faith, family, hard work, and the pursuit of a better future for our children are not just Midwest values. They are American values, and they are Hispanic values. Zach Lahn will defend them.
