Dr. Angelina Abong Atsimbom Introduces Three Books Connecting Workplace Well-Being, Relationships & Personal Resilience

Calgary psychologist, mental health clinician, and academic brings a connected perspective to the human experiences of work, love, and healing
CALGARY, Alberta - Rezul -- Dr. Angelina Abong Atsimbom (PhD, MACP, MBA, CCC), a Calgary-based psychologist, mental health clinician, author and academic, has introduced three books that examine workplace stress, the realities of marriage, and the journey of personal resilience and healing.
The three titles — Leading Resiliency in the Workplace: Navigating Stress, Building Strength, and Creating Space to Thrive; The Mirror of Marriage: Beyond the Illusion, Beneath the Reality; and The Woman That Overcame (https://www.amazon.ca/dp/1068887362) — approach different parts of life while sharing one central idea: people do not experience work, relationships, loss and recovery in isolation.
In Leading Resiliency in the Workplace, Atsimbom examines resilience as a shared responsibility rather than an individual demand. The book considers how workplace systems, leadership, psychological safety and everyday habits can affect well-being and performance.

The Mirror of Marriage explores the complexities of modern partnership, including love, compromise, expectations, respect, personal boundaries and the cultural influences that shape relationships. Drawing on research and reflection, the book offers a framework for readers who want to evaluate and navigate challenging relationship dynamics with greater honesty.
In The Woman That Overcame, Atsimbom presents a personal account of psychological pain, social stigma and the determination to rebuild. The book speaks to people who have been mislabeled, misunderstood or left to face difficult experiences alone, while emphasizing that resilience does not require a person to deny their humanity.
"These books emerged from questions I could no longer ignore, experiences I could no longer dismiss, and conversations I believe we desperately need to have," said Dr. Atsimbom. "They are about honesty, about questioning what we have normalized, challenging what we have accepted, and finding the courage to do better."
The author said the connection among the three works is the human experience. "We do not live fragmented lives. What wounds us in one space often follows us into another," she said. "Until we recognize these connections, we will continue treating symptoms while ignoring the systems, relationships, and experiences that produce them."
