Brightwater Lagoon to host Fourth of July weekend festivities

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - Rezul -- Brightwater Lagoon is inviting the community to celebrate Independence Day the "lagoon life" way with clear blue water, sandy beaches and a weekend filled with patriotic fun for the whole family.

Brightwater Lagoon will open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, July 4, featuring a Heineken Pop-Up from 1 to 3 p.m. with samples, swag and a cooler giveaway. The fun continues Saturday with live music by Stereo Riot from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m., and on Sunday with a live performance by Big Daddy Rich from 5 to 9 p.m. After the water hours close on Saturday and Sunday, Brightwater Lagoon is keeping the party going with free entry to the bar from 8 p.m. until close.

Throughout the holiday weekend, guests can enjoy great food from the lagoon's onsite food trucks as well as a specialty Independence Day-themed cocktail – the Red, White & Booze – a patriotic fusion of frozen strawberry daiquiri, pina colada and a splash of blue curacao for $12.

In addition to July 4 weekend festivities, guests can enjoy Brightwater Lagoon's daily offerings, including the floating obstacle course, kayak and paddleboard rentals, splash pad, water slide and swim-up bar, along with the newly opened mini-golf course, cabana rentals in Cabana Cove and more.
