BLiSS Trail Art Teamwork Wins Regional Scottish Thistle Award
Rezul News/10318993
Loch Earn Tourism Information (LETi) group has won a Scottish Thistle Award for "Working Together For Tourism" on BLiSS trail art and architectural installations, that line the A84 and A85 in four Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park villages.
LOCHEARNHEAD, U.K. - Nov. 24, 2016 - Rezul -- BLiSS art sculptures and installations were linked together on a trail that is designed to encourage visitors to smile, stop and spend time in Balquhidder, Lochearnhead, Strathyre and St Fillans villages - whose capital letters make up the word BLiSS, including i to represent the international tourist information symbol.
LETi destination management group launched the award winning art and architectural installation trail to celebrate Visit Scotland's tourism theme "Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design 2016".
Scottish Thistle Award events, often referred to as the "Tourism Oscars" are organised by Visit Scotland in association with the Aberdeen City and Shire Tourism Awards, Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards, HIT Scotland, Scotland Food and Drink, Scottish Licenced Trade Association, Scottish Tourism Alliance, Sportscotland and Wild Scotland
