The shortage of homes under 500k in Cape Coral gets a break

ORLANDO, Fla. - Rezul -- The shortage of homes nationwide and particularly in Florida is no news. But in some areas like Cape Coral, homes under the 500k mark are even more rare. Especially when we talk about new builds.

Luckily enough, this particular market might get a small break thanks to Genesis Homes FL. The company presented to 80 selected realtors their plan for over 100 new homes between 390k and 500k during their Builder's Open last Friday at the Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village.

The exquisite event turned one of the event areas of the resort into an orange tropical paradise with orange sparkly sangria, fun props and delicious canapes. It also had some of the top local realtors from Fort Myers and Cape Coral invited. As well as some investors, and real estate and lending partners who came all the way from Orlando.

The new homes presented by Genesis Homes FL include 3-4 bedrooms on 1700-2300 square-foot plans with high-quality finishes that you would normally have to pay extra for.

'With prices going up we noticed many first-time homebuyers, young families and those who want a property as a second home had been pushed out of the market' said Kenneth Serrano, CEO of Genesis Homes FL. 'Although we are building other types of homes in Cape Coral as well, this project in particular is one we are excited about because it brings new opportunities to buyers who thought they couldn't get what they needed in this market'.

The first homes are expected to be ready in 6 months and will take up to 1 year to build the entire project. Pre-sales are already open and the properties are being updated on Zillow.
