Maybe Baby Receives International Book Award

Philadelphia native Kim Golden receives bronze medal for her latest novel, an interracial/multicultural love story set in Scandinavia.

Rezul - Sep. 1, 2014 - PHILADELPHIA -- What would you do if you knew you could never have a baby with the man you think you love? Woud you accept your situation, or would you explore alternatives? And what if in exploring your options, you met someone else...? Laney Halliwell finds herself in this dilemma in Kim Golden's latest novel, Maybe Baby, the bronze medal winner for the Fiction-Drama category of the 2014 Readers' Favorite Book Awards.

Set in Stockholm, Sweden and Copenhagen, Denmark, Maybe Baby explores love in translation and all its complications for thirty-something expat African-American, Laney Halliwell, when she falls in love at the wrong time. Kim Golden's tale of modern love takes on all its difficult choices and challenges--infidelity, cultural differences, blended families--as Laney struggles to figure out if she should listen to her head...or her heart.
