VISALIA, Calif. - Nov. 21, 2017 - Rezul -- Recently, CJ Lyons, New York Times and USA Today bestselling indie author of twenty-one novels announced the winners of the 2017 annual IndieReader Discovery Awards (IRDAs) at BookExpo America (BEA), a major trade show in New York City. BILLY BEDIVERE IN THE QUEST FOR THE DRAGON QUEEN by Alan Sproles won in the Young Adults category.

"Having a life-long love affair with the fantasy/science fiction genre, I wanted to write a book using fairytale characters to teach values to middle grade boys and girls. Knowing that today's kids are very sophisticated, I had to create a new twist on these fairytale stories and characters that would interest them and draw them into the story. I feel very strongly writers have an obligation to edify and enrich those young people who read our books," said Sproles.
