JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Rezul -- Two top home builders, ICI Homes and David Weekley Homes, have joined forces to purchase approximately 550 acres at the southeast quadrant of Butler Boulevard and Interstate 295 from Jacksonville's Skinner family. The two privately-owned, highly regarded industry leaders will develop Seven Pines, a brand new master-planned community. The name, Seven Pines, pays tribute to the seven Skinner brothers who have a long and deeply rich family history with the property and the city of Jacksonville.

"We have a bold vision for our brand new master-planned community, Seven Pines," said Mori Hosseini, Chairman/CEO of ICI Homes and the managing partner of the Seven Pines partnership. "Our development will have distinctive new designs in walkable neighborhoods, a vibrant village center, plus parks, trails, lakes and green spaces, bringing residents closer to nature and creating a strong sense of community for Seven Pines. We have successfully teamed-up with David Weekley Homes in many communities over the years and I could not be more pleased to once again partner with one of the largest, most respected, highly-innovative homebuilders in the country."

The property is the last large parcel of land owned by the Skinner family's original holdings, which included the St. Johns Town Center and the University of North Florida, and will be designed and developed consistent with the family's vision. Once completed, Seven Pines will include approximately 1,600 single-family homes, apartments and more than a million square feet of commercial and retail space. Plans for the community include a 34-acre Central Park with a lake and a variety of architectural styles and home sizes in interconnected neighborhoods, built by both ICI Homes and David Weekley Homes.

"There's something magical about this land," said David Weekley, Chairman of David Weekley Homes. "The property is a sanctuary where nature leads the way amid Jacksonville's bustling Southside. Our goal is to create the finest residential community in Jacksonville, one which will serve as a legacy for the Skinner family."
