~ Colorado Springs residents are encouraged to attend the upcoming "Renter Rights 101" workshop on Friday, Nov. 21 at Silver Key Senior Services. The free class, organized by Colorado Legal Services and the City of Colorado Springs' Housing and Homelessness Response Department, aims to educate renters on their rights and responsibilities under Colorado law.

Led by Colorado Legal Services attorney Clinton Albert, the two-hour workshop will cover a range of topics including lease basics, reasonable accommodations and modifications, deposits, repairs, evictions, and recent updates to state housing legislation. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about local organizations that offer housing and legal resources.

While individual legal advice cannot be provided during the workshop, participants can expect to gain practical knowledge to help them navigate common challenges and avoid costly disputes. The session is open for both in-person attendance at Silver Key Senior Services or virtual participation through online registration.
