Army National Guard Veteran & Conservative Antonio Srado Launches Campaign to Flip Florida's 22nd
Rezul News/10721594
A veteran with a record of service, redemption, and real-world grit, Antonio Srado enters FL-22 promising to shake up Congress with accountability, tougher border policies, and a relentless fight for working families.
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Rezul -- (Palm Beach County, FL) – Today, Army National Guard veteran and working-family conservative Antonio Srado formally announced his candidacy for the United States House of Representatives in Florida's 22nd Congressional District, positioning himself as a bold, disciplined, solutions-driven alternative to the noise and dysfunction dominating Washington.
"I wasn't born into politics—I was born into real struggle," Srado said. "This district deserves a representative who's lived the challenges working families face and who understands what it means to rebuild, serve, and fight for every inch of progress."
Raised in deep poverty in North Philadelphia, Srado grew up relying on welfare, food stamps, and the resilience of a working-class family. At 17, he enlisted in the Army National Guard, later earning the rank of Sergeant and supporting major operations including Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, the World Meeting of Families, and joint task force missions with state and federal agencies. "Service before self" became the core principle shaping his life, leadership, and commitment to his country.

Srado's path hasn't been perfect—something he publicly owns with unusual candor in today's political landscape. In his twenties, he received DUIs, moments he calls "the hardest lessons of my life" and the beginning of his transformation into a devoted father, Christian, and advocate for responsible decision-making. More recently, he and his family were thrust into bankruptcy following alleged workplace discrimination—an experience that strengthened his resolve to fight for economic fairness, accountability, and protections for working families.
"I've made mistakes. I've fallen hard. And I've risen with purpose," he said. "Washington doesn't need more polished politicians. It needs real people who've lived real life and still choose to serve."
A husband and father of two, including a son with severe nonverbal autism, Srado brings firsthand experience in navigating healthcare, special-needs systems, affordability pressures, and the failures of federal bureaucracy. His campaign centers on lowering costs, strengthening public safety, securing the border, supporting veterans, protecting parental rights, and restoring fiscal sanity in Washington.
